Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP) has embarked on a Vision Planning effort to reimagine the future of Druid Lake. As part of this project, BCRP is soliciting input from the citizens of Baltimore to help shape the way visitors and residents use this space. BCRP will host an IN-PERSON MEETING at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Sundial Pavilion located in Druid Hill Park and a VIRTUAL MEETING at 5:30 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 using the Microsoft Teams platform.
Register at dlvpmtg2.eventbrite.com to join Rec and Parks at their upcoming meeting on June 3, 2021, 5:30pm at the Sundial Pavilion to learn about the Druid Lake Vision Plan. This plan will guide the future growth and development of Druid Hill Park. We want our community ideas included in this vision so please register and plan to attend!
Championed by local residents, 7th District Councilman Leon Pinkett, Baltimore City Department of Transportation, and Bikemore, the Big Jump is a temporary, grant-funded project that counteracts decades of highway expansion with a protected space for pedestrians, wheelchair riders, and bicyclists to connect with green space, school, and jobs. Those of us living in West Baltimore certainly need it as for the past seventy years, walking or bicycling to Druid Hill Park has proven prohibitively dangerous.
